What should I expect when I visit AEC?

Sunday Meetings.

Our passion is to present the truth of the Christian message in a way that connects with your life today. When you turn up for our Sunday programme you'll be welcomed into an informal atmosphere. Our meetings are between 1 and 1 ¼ hours in length and include a time of singing, prayer, updates on church activities and a Bible based talk that is relevant to life. Our meetings seek to help you along your faith journey, whatever stage you are at.

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Some people turn up in shorts and a t -shirt, whilst others wear trousers and a shirt. There is no written or unwritten rules on clothing. Whatever you wear normally, wear it to church.

How old are people in your church?

Our church is an all age church, from babies to silver surfers and everything else in between. We have activities for each age group, and also many social events for all ages.

Do I have to pray/ sing/ take part?

No! Unless, that is, you want to! There is usually a time of singing, and we welcome people to listen or sing along. You definitely won't be asked to pray or stand out the front.

What is the singing like?

Our music is a mix of contemporary styles and some hymns. The instruments used include guitar, electric guitar, drums and piano.

Do I have to pay?

No. There is usually a collection to go towards the running of the church and other charities, but we never force people to give.

What about child care?

There are crèche facilities in the church building, which parents can walk in and out of during the service as they feel the need. We also have a Sunday programme for children in years 1-8. Please see the 'Kids at the Cellar' page for more details.

How do I get to the church building?

Our building is located on Wind Street in Ammanford. In between to the 2 sets of traffic lights. It is next door to the Cottage pub.

What is the cellar - is that the church?

The Cellar is one of the 2 church premises, located at 6 College Street and is a cellar. We use it for many mid week meetings, youth clubs, and Sunday morning children's club (Kids at the Cellar).
